Courses in Brazil
University graduate

Diante dos desafios e da complexidade of the environmental issues in which we are inserted, the courses aim to train professionals from a generalist approach, based on the understanding that the problems are multifactorial. Thus, throughout the course, students have contact with disciplines from different areas of knowledge (Natural, Human, Social and Exact Sciences) that are part of what we call Environmental Sciences. Therefore, it is known for being an interdisciplinary course, which gives the student new perspectives to be able to analyze environmental systems in an integrated way.
Em geral, os cursos possuem minimum duration of 8 periods (4 years), and despite their singularities and discrepancies, they have the following subjects: Biology, Ecology, Geology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Sociology, Environmental Law, Environmental Pollution, Environmental Education, Conservation Environmental, Environmental Planning, Environmental Management and Geoprocessing, in addition to laboratory courses and field trips.
É importante salientar que o nome of the disciplines may vary from course to course, as well as the level of depth in some of them, such as a professional more focused on the area of biology or sociology.
There are currently thirteen courses in the area in ten Brazilian states – Amapá, Bahia, Ceará, Goiás, Minas Gerais, Pará, Paraná, Pernambuco, Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo. They are:
Interdisciplinary Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Sciences - UFRB
