• Bring together the Environmental Scientists of Brazil to promote and encourage the exchange of experiences between the scientific, academic and professional communities in the area of Environmental Sciences;

• Outline plans and goals and create conditions for the effective recognition and appreciation of the Class;

• Allow AMB professionals and associates to meet to deliberate on the Institution's interests and guidelines and carry out its electoral processes;

• Officialize all electoral procedures and legitimize the nominees who will occupy the positions of the Association;

• To be an important academic and scientific experience of learning and updating of Environmental Scientists, with lectures, courses and debates;

• Diagnose problems and promote solutions verified in the job market of the Environmental Scientist profession;

• Consolidate the Association's guidelines for the achievement of its purposes and the due recognition and regulation of the profession of Environmental Scientist; and

• Present the Code of Ethics for Environmental Science professionals.​

• Draft the bill that recognizes and regulates the profession of Environmental Scientist, aiming to file the same in the relevant legislative bodies;
