About Us
In Brazil, the first Environmental Science courses and its variations were created only in 2009. Since then, from national student meetings that began to take place in 2013 in search of consolidating a national articulation, it was realized the need to create an entity that would represent students and professionals in the area before the challenges of strengthening, recognition and regulation of the profession in Brazil and the insertion of these professionals in the job market.
The Association of Environmental Scientists of Brazil – AMB, was born from the desire of students and professionals of Environmental Sciences to build an association responsible for uniting, valuing and representing the interest of Environmental Scientists in all instances, as well as strengthening and promoting the creation and dissemination of knowledge related to Environmental Sciences. , thus becoming a reference as a class organ and knowledge-generating institution.
Officialized in 2016 on the IV National Meeting of Students of Environmental Sciences, AMB, is a non-profit civil organization, which counts on the presence of graduates in Environmental Sciences from various parts of the country, with the purpose of representing the class, allowing all of us to be recognized as a critical mass of interdisciplinary professionals, capable of producing knowledge and sustainable solutions with a view to assuming responsibility to help resolve the environmental conflicts arising from the development of civilization.
In addition to the political activity AMB is responsible for the class and organization holding of the National Congress of Environmental Scientists, the Revista dos Cientistas Ambientais, consultancy for Environmental Science courses and the most diverse events for the dissemination of knowledge, dissemination, updating and training of Environmental Scientists, in order to ensure that their associates can discuss the paths of the profession, and thus AMB represents them so that their decisions have an effect in the political and academic spheres and in the job market.

Rethink the current paradigms of society to critically build a development that contemplates social organization and the limits of the environment, at a local and global level;
Develop a new science that values the multiplicity of knowledge and is capable of dialoguing with other sciences from a transdisciplinary perspective;
To influence decision-making, integrating technical and scientific knowledge, traditional knowledge and public policies.
Mission
Represent the interest of Environmental Scientists in all instances, as well as strengthen and promote the creation and dissemination of knowledge related to Environmental Sciences.
Purpose
Ensuring all labor rights for Environmental Scientists and working together with Universities to raise the quality of future Environmental Science professionals, in addition to being a hub for disseminating knowledge related to Environmental Sciences.
Vision
To be a reference as a political organ of class representation; to be a reference as an institution that generates and disseminates knowledge; quality management of the database with the records of all Environmental Scientists in Brazil; act effectively in partnerships with various environmental and social bodies, public and private.
